Day 15 - Cannon Beach to Vancouver

The Sleepy Monk is not too sleepy to keep the roaster going. Good thing, too - we need our kickstarter coffee.

Either we reach the Washington coastline, or it's into the abyss.

Like all things in Texas, even their viewfinders are huge. This one needs a whole trailer to lug it around. They use a train for the camera.

A strange little game of hang man plays out at the Port Townsend ferry dock.

The Port Townsend Ferry is getting a new terminal.

The Port Townsend Nautical Re-Enactment Society's furious Battle of Trafalgar. That's Philip's Armada on the left, and Nelson's Victory on the right. It appears Philip has gained the right of way.

Sometimes, I really hate the auto focus feature, and then occasionally it does something really cool.

The second act for today: The Bombardment of Sebastopol. The Royal Navy mercilessly pounds the hapless Crimean capital.

One of the many, many things to do on the Port Townsend ferry.

Down in the hangar bay, the troops are eager to disembark.

Just don't do it.

Astutely, the folks organizing this upcoming event in Oak Harbour have noted they can coordinate the colour of their porta potties with the bloomimg daffodils.

We almost never cross Deception Pass in daylight, so this is what it looks like.

The final sprint to the border, accompanied by a blazing west coast sunset.

Yes, it's Vancouver. Yes, it's pouring.
